Armando de la Ossa [June 30, 1979 - January 1, 2020]was a main character through Seasons 4-5 of the Netflix series Elite, serving as one of the two main antagonists (along with Hugo Múler) of its second overall story arc. He is portrayed by Andrés Velencoso.

Physical Appearance

Armando is an attractive white man in his 40s. He is tall and has a tan. He also has black short hair, a beard and dark eyes. He often wears a black suit, and below it a shirt and a tie, though he is seen wearing a tuxedo during his last scene. He is always wearing elegant clothes, fitting for his role as a businessman.

Personality

Armando is, at the surface, a very polite and slightly persuasive man, who treated Mencía with utmost respect - as long as he got what he wanted from her. He appeared to be kind and helpful at first, but the moment Mencía refused to sleep with him, he started threatening and blackmailing her, showing how agressive and manipulative he is, and that he doesn't take no for an answer.

He revealed his true face at the New Year's Eve party when an intoxicated Ari threatens to tell Benjamín about how Armando abused Mencía. As Ari called her father, Armando attacked her and beat her until Guzmán arrived, when he ran away and hid.

Trivia

• According to Armando, Mencía was the first Las Encinas girl he brought to his hotel room.
• He is the third person and main character in the series to be murdered.
  • However, his death was the first one that wasn't an accident.
  • He is the first adult character to be murdered.
  • As of the end of the fourth season, only Guzmán, Samuel and Rebeka are aware of his murder and he's considered alive and missing by everyone else. However, in the fifth season, Omar, Ari, Mencía, Patrick and Benjamín end up figuring out the truth by themselves as Samuel and Rebeka's silence pact starts losing strength, especially after Omar found the corpse under the lake where it was originally hidden.
  • He is also the second male main character to die after Polo.
  • Despite being killed by Guzmán, that was the first and only time that they ever interacted with each other.
