Physical Appearance[]

Personality[]

Despite being an adult, Cruz often behaves in a immature way, with Iván forced to be the adult in their relationship, as he is, initially, constantly seen in parties day and night, even consuming drugs frecuently. Patrick even said that despite being father of Iván he behaves more like he were his friend. Nevetheless, Cruz does this, though unconsciously, as a way to hide the fact he's actually a closeted homosexual and because of the homofobic propaganda of soccer players he strieves to keep that image of a soccer player intact.

However, he gradually starts to change. He slowly becomes more and more attentive with his son and does his best to be a good father, which is seen when he steps aside and let his son have a relationship with Patrick despite having feelings for the boy, even encouraging Iván to fight for his happiness.

With time, Cruz comes to embrace his homosexuality and publicly confesses being gay, and during a game he even kisses with pride the LGBTQ+ flag, not feeling ashamed any more of his homosexuality.
