Synopsis[]
Isadora takes justice into her own hands. Chloe and Carmen make their final play. When an incriminating video circulates, Las Encinas takes a final blow.
Plot[]
Omar, Isadora, Ivan, Sara, Eric, and Chloe discuss what to do with the video. Omar doesn't understand because Emilia reported Hector as the murderer. He insists it's them and asks why Luis would want to kill Joel. Isadora replies that he's just a son of a bitch and Omar agrees that his methods are unorthodox but to murder is too much. Isadora counters that he doesn't know Luis like she does and confesses that he's been extorting her for months. Omar asks if it's true Joel has been "turning tricks" and that he knows because of Emilia. He thought she's been convincing him that Dalmar is the killer. Isadora tells him it's true that Joel has set up a prostitution ring behind her back and that Luis has been using it to blackmail her. She adds that she asked Joel to fix it for her. Ivan guesses that Joel confronted Luis and threatened him with Alumni and Luis just took out the root of his problem. Omar starts to blame Isadora but she retorts that she's not the one with blind ambition and she didn't make Joel a sex worker. She states Joel was blinded by money and he dug his own grave. Omar asks for the video but Isadora wants to take it to the police. Omar does not trust the police but Chloe says the video is solid evidence. Omar wants to wait for the right timing so he can use it to his advantage against Luis and the siblings. Ivan says the siblings did not kill Joel but Omay says they accused him and Joel and got himself beat up because of them. Omar tells them to let him do it his way. They all owe it to Joel. Chloe sends the video to Omar and tells him he has two days.
Chloe reveals to Carmen that Luis is the killer. She can't believe that the handsome cop is the murderer and adds they are the worst. She wonders when Dalmar might be out but Chloe says he might be out already. Carmen says they have to do something, she's sure Dalmar still has the video and plans to make him an offer he can't refuse. If the plan fails, they'll leave. Chloe asks about Eric and Carmen tells her she can find a cute, crazy boy anywhere and to think of Eric as her first go. She adds to make sure her next crazy boy is loaded.
Omar is back in his apartment packing up. He sees Joel's sweater and picks it up. It leads to a flashback where Joel is getting dressed with the sweater. Omar doesn't understand why he's with Hector since he only uses him. He warns it's gonna tear him apart. Joel smiles and says he loves to exaggerate and he's not like that. He reassures Omar he can keep Hector in check. Omar doesn't believe him because that's exactly what Samuel said and is now dead. He tells Omar he can't cope if the same thing happens to him. Joel thanks him for his concern and kisses his cheek, but there's no need to worry. He is about to say something but drops it and starts to leave. Omar wants to hear what he wanted to say and Joel stares at him softly, saying that if they had both met at a different point in their lives, maybe things would have worked out. Omar laughs and says Joel wouldn't have even noticed him. Joel says he would have, for real, and that maybe life has a second chance in store for them.
Sara is doing a livestream as she walks along the school corridor. They are two weeks away from graduating and she does not feel sad. She wants to heal her wounds and asks her viewers what they'll be doing after Las Encinas. She stops with Nico right in front of her and he gives her a thumbs up. She says it seems fake and she's not in the right mindset. Nico convinces her they need to leave all this behind them and focus on their exams. She can't focus because of Dalmar and how he might have the evidence to put Carmen away. She wants justice for Raul's death but Nico is incredulous that she's still thinking about the guy who bullied and abused her. He points out that Raul has got her trapped even after his death and urges her to free herself from him. She's not sure she can but Nico says she can.
Omar visits Hector in jail. He admits he came because he wanted to see Hector screwed and powerless, which feels good. Hector gives him the finger and Omar says he has the video that recorded Joel's true killer. He's in no hurry however to submit the video because he blames Hector for Joel's death. Hector asks if he wants money but Omar wants him to simply beg and feel how Joel felt every time he was with him. Hector believes Joel loved him and everything he stood for, which was why he was willing to do whatever it took to succeed. He then taunts Omar that Joel was hungry and bets he never fucked Omar like that. Judging from Omar's reaction, Hector then insults him in being weak. Omar goes back to the video and says he'll give it as long as the siblings write a confession that they were the ones who beat him up. Hector declines and Omar tries his luck with Emilia. He asks her if she's willing to go to jail for a crime she did not commit. Turns out Hector is sentenced to 20 years, and Emilia as an accomplice gets a few years. Emilia doesn't want his help and states if the video exists, it will come to light. Omar says only he has the video and he gives them 24 hours to sign the confession or he'll destroy the video. Just like her brother, Emilia refuses.
Dalmar exits the police stations and is approached by Carmen and Chloe. Carmen tells him they'll support him but Dalmar is pissed she tried to incriminate him. Carmen pleads him not to cling to the past and he tells them to get lost. Carmen offers him a hundred thousand for the video but Dalmar thinks that if he uses the video as leverage with the police, he can get a residence permit in Spain. Carmen tells him the video is useless to the police and they'll deport him without a cent, meanwhile she is offering him money and a lawyer. Dalmar doesn't budge until Chloe offers to give him the video of Joel's death, which he can use to get his residence papers. Carmen agrees but takes back her offer of money, not until Chloe tells her to. The offer of money and video of Joel's death is back on the table and Dalmar tells her to get the video.
Luis sits with Hector and asks if he's ready to confess. Hector says he didn't do it and that Omar has the video evidence and suggests he tell the judge. Upon hearing that, Luis's face turns grim. Sara is recording Nico's video of what he wants to do after Las Encinas. He wants to be a psychiatrist. Sara thinks the video isn't working but Nico tells her to ask him something different. She hits record and asks if he has any unfinished business. Nico wishes he could've done things differently with Eric so he wouldn't be so distant and screwed up. He worries that Eric might leave since the school year is ending. He apologizes to Eric in front of the camera.
Dalmar and Sonia are back together in the apartment making out. He notices the mess around and wonders if they've been robbed. Omar arrives and finds out his laptop has been stolen. Dalmar sends Sonia off to talk to Omar privately. He asks if it's related to Joel's video and he knows because of Chloe. Omar says he does not have it. Dalmar says they could have used it to get his residence papers. Omar excuses himself to go to the bathroom. He checks his phone and watches the video of Joel's murder. He gets called to jail where Hector has prepared the confession. All that's needed is his and Omar' signature. Omar signs but Hector doesn't sign and offers something better - whatever Omar wants. He declares himself as Omar's genie and asks him what he wants, telling him to be ambitious. Omar says this is exactly how Joel ended up dead but Hector counters he's smarter than Joel and has the advantage now. Omar refuses and prefers he'd rather set fire to his family, the Alumni club, and Las Encinas. Hectors accept and offers to shut down Alumni and Las Encinas. Omar is confused but Hector continues on that Omar would love this opportunity. Omar thinks about it and leaves the police station. As he walks away, Luis is trailing him via car.
Omar arrives home and Nadia follows after. She asks what happened and he reveals someone broke in, which is why he's a little paranoid. He tells her about Hector's offer and how he has the power to shut Las Encinas down. He's annoyed she keeps on asking him if he's okay. Nadia tells him to listen to himself. He's becoming like them and is out for revenge. If he continues to make deals, he'll think he's winning when in reality, he'll just be their next victim. Omar says he'll be fine but Nadia counters that's what Samuel and Joel said and urges him to go to the police. Omar arrives at the police where he greets Luena at the front desk. He's about to tell her about Joel's video when Luis appears and drapes an arm over his shoulder. Luis attempts to steal Omar away but Luena says she'll handle it. Luis tells Omar not to worry and come with him. Omar has changed his mind and decided to come back next time. Luena tells him he's in good hands and lets him to with Luis. Luis and Omar talk in the office and Luis feigns ignorance at first, asking Omar what it's about. Omar prefers to talk later but Luis wants to be direct about it and demands for the video, unless he wants an accident to happen. Luis tries to headlock Omar as he shouts for help and the door opens. Omar is released just before Luena enters and sees the commotion. The two says it's a misunderstand and leaves.
Later, Omar tells Ivan and Isadora that Luis knows about the video. Isadora schemes to invite Luis over at her place. Ivan wants to go to the police but Isadora tells him Omar was already there and they're useless. That night, a party goes on at Cruz9. Ivan refuses to leave Isadora alone with Luis and urges her to find another way. She suggests they give him an overdose but Ivan tells her she's crazy. She says the club is all that matters to her. She later prepares a drink for her and Luis. She spikes his glass before walking up to her room. Ivan is drunk and walks through the dance floor. He hallucinates Joel and tells him he loves him. They kiss for awhile until Ivan snaps out of it and realizes he's been kissing a random stranger. He apologizes and leaves. He ends up with Sara, Nico, and Eric. He tells them he kissed Joel but it wasn't him because he won't kiss Joel ever again. He is clearly devastated and tells them to love each other as much as they can. He then again walks away.
Eric and Nico look at each other. Eric asks Sara to take his video. He starts to talk and says he doesn't know what the future awaits, but he knows it's much better than a year ago, thanks to Nico and his family who took him in despite his flaws. He continues that people may hate Las Encinas now, but it has meant everything to him. He owes it all to Nico and says he loves him. Nico tells Sara to end the video but Eric goes on, saying that he doesn't know what will happen, especially since he's moving out, but he knows Nico will always be with him. Nico smiles and the two hug,
At home, Omar is watching Eric's video through Sara's livestream. He says that no one will pay for their wrongdoings and that Las Encinas and Alumni will continue on. He tells Nadia that nothing will change if they do nothing. She thinks about it and says he has to get rid of the root cause, although it's really hard and takes a long time. She invites him to dinner but he rushes out.
At Cruz9, Eric and Chloe have a toast. She finds out he's moving out but he tells her he won't be far. Eric is hopeful they have plans together in the future. Chloe says they don't have to talk about that now and signals her eyes to the bathroom. They makeout in the bathroom but Eric senses if she's doing this to avoid talking to him. Chloe doesn't answer and shows him a pack of 2C. Eric doesn't really want to do it stoned and tells her all he needs is her. They continue kissing until Chloe tells him to fuck her like it's the last time. That snaps Eric out and he asks her what she means. She says she's joking and she got carried away. They then have sex.
Ivan is staggering drunk through the club and he is determined to get to Isadora. Luis arrives at Isadora's room and she lets him in. She gives him his spiked drink and tells him to get naked. He starts taking off his clothes. Omar arrives in the club and calls Sara over. He wants her to livestream him. He tells the viewers that in Las Encinas, the rich have the upper hand and cover up for each other. He questions how the school has cases of overdoses, rapes, murders, yet none of them have made the news. He asks why their parents keep on enrolling them here. He mentions that Samuel and Marina were killed, he and Ivan almost lost their lives, and that Hector, Emilia, and Alumni drove Joel into ruin. He points out the school's poison reaches everywhere and corrupts anything. He asks if no one is going to stop this and if their children's lives are worth so little. The livestream ends and Omar asks Sara to upload a video.
Luis and Isadora are kissing. He asks if she thinks he's an idiot. He knows she wants him to confess to a crime she thinks he committed. Isadora feigns ignorance and pulls out a syringe from her back. She tells him it's more like a last meal for the condemned, and she is that meal. She is about to stab him with the syringe but he gains control. He asks if she's going to overdose him and shoves her to the bed. He tells her she's going to die instead. Isadora struggles while Luis tries to pour a vial laced with fentanyl and GHB in her mouth. She eventually breaks free and runs away but Luis catches up and shoves her head towards the wall. She loses consciousness but Luis eventually wakes her up, wanting some fun before he finishes her off. He manages to drug her with a few droplets.
The video of Joel's death eventually circulates on social media. Everyone in the club is watching it already. Dalmar and Sonia are shocked at the outcome. Luena sees the video and calls for Luis. Ivan is passed out on the club hallway and is woken up by security. He rushes to Isadora's door and shouts out her name. Luena and her team enter the club, looking for Luis. Omar leads them to Isadora's room, guns out. Luis says Isadora is unconscious and he doesn't know what she took. Luena tells him to shut up but he insists they have to help her. She's having none of it and arrests him for the murder of Joel. Ivan and Omar wake Isadora up as Luis gets dressed. Once she finally arrives to her senses, she decides to finally stand up for herself. She tells Luis he's a mediocre piece of shit who came into their lives and thought he could have it all. He'll never reach their standards and she tells him to enjoy his last meal. She discreetly injects him with the syringe. He panics as he is taken away by the police. As he walks down the stairs, the syringe takes effect and he tumbles down the steps. He vomits and starts gasping for air. Omar, Isadora, and Ivan watch from above until Luis eventually goes still.
Following the events that happened, students in Las Encinas are talking about it. Dalmar and Sonia approach Sara. He gives her the video of Raul's death and tells her what she wants to do with it. He doesn't care anymore and wants to do the right thing, even if he has to leave the country. Eric tries contacting Chloe to no avail. Sara thinks she and her mom ran off because she threatened them with the video of Raul's death. She lets him warn Chloe and Carmen that she's coming for them.
At Alumni headquarters, the furniture is being moved out. He and Emilia are moving to Milan. The two have seemingly reconciled. She kisses him on the lips but Hector pulls away, worried about the other eyes in the room. Emilia shrugs him off and happily walks away.
Eric arrives at Chloe's home, only to see it being packed up for moving. He figures they're leaving but Chloe says it will just be a couple of days. He tells her he knows about Sara. She sighs that they were bound to leave sooner or later and wants him to know that if she could, she'd stay with him all her life. Eric wants to tag along and Chloe asks Carmen for permission. Carmen rejects and tells them not to think of it as goodbye. If it's meant to be, they'll meet again. The two share one last kiss and hug before Chloe enters the car with her mom. Carmen comforts her daughter and they need to put down their roots. She reassures they'll meet again someday and she just wants a mother-daughter trip, to which Chloe tearily agrees to.
Nadia and Omar enter Las Encinas to visit Virginia. She thanks him and will submit incriminating files of Las Encinas. She also broadcasts to the students that after a board meeting yesterday, it's been confirmed that Las Encinas will close immediately and indefinitely. They are arranged to take their final exams in a public high school. After the broadcast, Omar and Nadia smile in triumph.
In fancy cars, Isadora, Ivan, Eric, Sara, Nico, and Sonia drop by the public high school for their finals. They are certainly out of place from the other students who are dressed casually. As they walk in the school, they are met with stares from the students. Isadora thinks they all look so young but Sara says everyone is their age. As they continue walking, Isadora asks a student where the restroom is because she wants to get high. He points her to the restroom and rejects her offer of 2C. The bell rings and all students go to their classes, leaving the group confused about this new place they're in.
