Episode 1 is the first episode of the first season of Class, and the first episode of the series overall.

Synopsis

A suspicious death on campus triggers a complex investigation. Dheeraj, Saba and Balli endure ridicule from classmates on the first day of school.

Plot

SPOILERS AHEAD

In a flashback, Dheeraj, Saba, and Balli are all working class students who were transferred to the elite private school, Hampton International, after thir school burned down. All three of them get teased on their first day by the other students. Another student, Veer, picks on Dheeraj in particular because his father owns Ahuja Properties. Dheeraj's brother went to jail for leading a protest against Veer's father's company. His sister, Suhani, however, seems to like Dheeraj.

Saba is Muslim and isn't allowed to wear her hijab at school. This makes her uncomfortable. The other students say rude comments about her religion.

Balli is the outgoing, talkative one of the group, but the other students still look down on him. He becomes friends with the principal's son, Dhruv. They find drugs from a guy called Faruq.

Neeraj, Dheeraj's brother, is released from prison. Saba catches Veer and Yashika making out in a car. Yashika sees Saba and is startled.

The Ahujas host a party and invite all of the students. Yashika dares Veer to record himself having sex with Saba and taking her virginity. Koel and Balli hook up but her boyfriend sees them. Dheeraj and Suhani dance together.

In present, Suhani has been murdered in a parking lot. The police are investigating the crime.
