Rocío wants to connect with her African heritage and culture. She takes an interest in Bilal and flirts with him, but the feelings are not reciprocated. Unlike Rocío, Bilal is not as interested in connecting with his African heritage.
While hanging out with Bilal's friends, Rocío hears their stories of how they left Africa to move to Spain, and the struggles they experienced. Rocío, who was born and raised in Spain, cannot relate to their stories.
