The fourth season of Netflix's Elite was announced by the cast and crew on May 22, 2020, when they revealed via Twitter that they had received their scripts. This reveal was against rumours that there would be a completely new cast for season four. It will be released worldwide on June 18, 2021.

Prior to this, Álvaro Rico, Danna Paola, Ester Expósito, Jorge López and Mina El Hammani revealed that they would not be appearing in the fourth instalment of the series.[2]

On July 20, 2020, the four new cast members were introduced on the Elite Twitter[3] and Instagram[4] page.

Filming started on August 3, 2020, but suspended the day after, when they found out a case of COVID-19 among the cast and crew. [5] Filming resumed the following week after the positive COVID-19 case was reported as fake.[6]

He brings his three children with him (Carla Díaz, Martina Cariddi, Manu Rios): three teenagers too used to always get their own way, and to have what they want when they want, no matter who falls, and who will jeopardize the union and strong friendship of the students who have stayed at the school.[7]
