Sonia is a recurring character in the fifth and sixth season and a main character on the seventh season of the Netflix series Elite. She is portrayed by Nadia Al Saidi.

Season 5[]
Sonia first appears in the background at Patrick’s experimental party. Later on in the night, Samuel wants to see Ari with another girl. This leads Ari to approaching Sonia, complimenting her glasses. Sonia compliments Ari’s dress. Ari then asks Sonia if she wants to make out, so they do while Samuel watches.
Season 6[]
Sonia and Nico hang out together, but are interrupted by Ari. Ari and Nico date, but later break up, as Ari had a difficult time accepting Nico's gender identity, causing Nico to become insecure.
Ari discovers that she is pregnant and gets an abortion. Sonia supports her throughout this process.
